Oh, this is beautiful, Pete. Thank you for saying what needs to be said -- apparently -- again and again and again.
And to my mother's older beloved brother who was killed at the Battle of the Bulge less than a month after his 20th birthday. Her family was never, ever the same after that loss. And for what? And then to have some seven decades later the "American" people crap their pants and toss their remaining freedoms?
Thank you. I'm loathe to say anything "good" came out of that Covid debacle, but I do think it caused hundreds of millions of people to wake up to what many of us have known for a long time - we can't trust politicians or the companies that buy them off. The more of us that know that, the more of us who can build something better.
War, what is it good for, absolutely nothing, but making profits for morally challenged people who provoke them.
When discussing the origins of the Vietnam war, Lt. Commander Pat Peterson, U.S. Navy, said
“Unlike Captain Herrick, Stockdale had no doubt about what had happened: We were about to launch a war under false pretenses, in the face of the on-scene military commander's advice to the contrary...
…On 7 August, Congress, with near unanimity, approved the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which President Johnson signed into law three days later.
Requested by Johnson, the resolution authorized the chief executive to ‘take all necessary measures to repel any armed attack against the forces of the United States and to prevent further aggression.’ No approval or oversight of military force was required by Congress, essentially eliminating the system of checks and balances so fundamental to the U.S. Constitution.”
All true. And the Gulf of Tonkin story gets filed in the same drawer as the burning of the German Reichstag Building, which was also blamed on overt communist aggression. (Not that communism isn't overt aggression, but they didn't happen to actually do either of those historically monumental incidents.)
Couldn't have put it better myself. Being born in the 1950s, I was brought up under the shadow of two world wars, in which my father & grandfather took part, as well as my mother being a terrified teenager as the bombs fell on Liverpool. The family houses, and business bombed too. Little did they know it was all a set-up, and unnecessary. Hitler offered peace after one year, but psycho-Churchill refused (following orders from higher up). And so it goes on.
I always ask people who won the 20-year war in Afghanistan (2001-2021)? They look at me blankly. Then I tell them - the War Industry won. "Humanity deserves a better system." -- so true.
Thanks. Wars are a great business for the people who run them. Putin is another example of someone who offered a deal very early in Ukraine, and there are many other examples in history. (And most people don't know how badly places like Liverpool and Hull were hit during WWII.)
Americans have forgotten where their rights come from. The Holy Scripture is the source and foundation for all freedom. If we're going to defund the war machine, we need to understand how they get the money from us. The federal gov't is currently run by franchises, but they will not tell you what those are. I know because I asked & then had to study for myself for the last 40 years to find the answers. For most people the problem is interstate commerce by way of financial instruments that you create with the help of a local banking institution. These instruments are known as checks. It's called interstate commerce & when you're involved in it, you'll be taxed. I know this realization will be painful but it is truth.
Most people don't know that their labor and all the fruits coming from that labor are 'gifts of God'. Eccles 3:13 & 5:17 are quite clear about this. This should mean something for a Christian but most have never read the Scripture & most pastors are afraid to touch this question. Another aspect of this is the concept of worship. The Commandment tell us that we are to work 6 days a week and rest on the 7th. Our obedience to the Commandment is actual worship activity and is an indication to God of our reverence for Him & His word. As worship activity, it is NON-TAXABLE. The Supreme Court of the US has declared, many years ago, that the '...power to tax is the power to destroy."
The people that promote the franchises will either not know what they are doing or will not tell you the trouble you're getting into. The IRS wants you to think that you're paying a tax on your LABOR, but this isn't so. If it were so, the tax would have to be apportioned among the states and this tax is not apportioned. Labor is simply non-taxable.
This fraud wouldn't work well unless it was subtle.
By being involved in interstate commerce, you have to pay a tax for the use of their franchise and they are using the value of your labor to determine the overall tax amount.

Over a respiratory infection.
There really are no words.
